Every day, first responders run toward crises while the rest of us seek safety.
But behind each uniform is a human heart that can grow weary and faint.
When trauma strikes, it doesn’t wait on bureaucratic approval.
Insurance benefits frequently take 6 to 18 months to resolve, tangled in red tape, bureaucracy,
and multiple denials of care. This reality is demoralizing at best and devastating at worst.

The Need
America is facing an unaddressed epidemic among those providing life-saving care.

While most experience one traumatic event in a lifetime, they can live through ten incidents in a shift.​ First Responders spend their life meeting people in their darkest moments. ​​​​In turn, statistics show their life is cut short by more than 20 years. ​​​​
The Problem
Despite the many services and insurance available to First Responders...The #1 occupational hazard faced by first responders is suicide.

Insurance approvals take months to years, with multiple denials and frequent litigation.​​ Once approved, insurance payouts take months to fulfill which can bankrupt programs and providers. Many First Responders bounce between programs and providers, never achieving healing or recovery.

Faced with these obstacles, many give up hope of regaining their lives and achieving lasting change.
